The CSR cannot be decoded or is invalid

Not all fields filled

In most cases, the problem occurs when the required fields were not filled in when the CSR was generated. The following fields must be included in the CSR for our system to accept it:

• Full domain name
• Organization/Company
• Town
• Country (2 letter country code)
• Email address

Not all necessary lines are included in the CSR

Check if your CSR starts and ends with 5 dashes:

-----BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----

...
-----END NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----

Invalid characters contained in the CSR

Check if your CSR contains invalid characters (e.g. caused by copying and pasting). Characters that normally cause problems are ?, @, #, $, %, ^, &, * . Only alphanumeric characters and the backslash \ are allowed.
