The CSR cannot be decoded or is invalid

  • In most cases, the problem occurs when the required fields were not filled in when the CSR was generated. The following fields must be included in the CSR for our system to accept it:
    • Full domain name
    • Organization/Company
    • Town
    • Country (2 letter country code)
    • Email address
  •  Check if your CSR starts and ends with 5 dashes:
    -----BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
    ...
    ...
    ...
    -----END NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
  • Check if your CSR contains invalid characters (e.g. caused by copying and pasting). Characters that normally cause problems are ?, @, #, $, %, ^, &, * . Only alphanumeric characters and the backslash \ are allowed.
