A Code Signing Request or CSR is an encrypted text block that is needed to issue an SSL certificate and is usually created by your server software. Alternatively, you can use our CSR generator to create a CSR.
Please note: When using the IIS server platform, it is not possible to use an external CSR generator. In this case, the CSR must be generated directly on the IIS.
Behind the jumbled-looking string are various informations (such as domain name, name, address, etc.) in encrypted form, which is included in the certificate details when the certificate is issued. In order for us as a CA (Certificate Authority) to issue a certificate, the CSR must be generated correctly. This tool gives you the ability to decode your CSR to check if it contains the correct information or has errors or is incomplete. If the CSR can be decoded and you see the correct information, then you can start ordering your certificate.
