Certificates for the creation of code signatures.

We send an email with a confirmation link to the administration contact specified for the certificate. Clicking this link initiates the validation process.

We check your company data to make sure that you actually represent a legal entity. It is also necessary to verify that you are authorized to obtain a certificate on behalf of the company. This process usually takes 1 to 3 business days and includes the following steps:

• VERIFICATION OF THE COMPANY
  If your country provides public business registries, this is usually done without your intervention. Alternatively, a free Business Credit Report at "Dun & Bradstreet" or similar established company registries can be used.
  
  
• CHECKING THE LOCATION
  In order to verify the location indicated in your CSR, we will obtain or request official registration documents for your company.
  
  
• TELEPHONE NUMBER DETERMINATION
  A telephone number must be listed in a trusted directory. If this cannot be obtained, we will contact you regarding alternative options.
  
  
• FINAL PHONE CALL
  One of our representatives will call the identified phone number to verify the details of the certificate order with you.

Compared to normal company validation, additional steps are required, prolonging the usual processing time to 5 to 10 business days:

• REGISTRATION
  Before the verification process begins, a one-page form must be completed confirming that you are an employee in good standing and authorized to make this purchase for your business.
  
  
• VERIFICATION OF THE COMPANY
  We use government business registration documents to verify that your organization is a legally registered entity.
  
  
• OPERATIONAL CHECK
  We verify that your organization has been operational for at least 3 years. For younger organizations, we will request additional registration documents.
  
  
• LOCATION CHECK
  To verify the location stated in your CSR, we will obtain or request official registration documents for your organization confirming a permanent physical presence. P.O. Boxes and off-shore companies will not be accepted.
  
  
• TELEPHONE NUMBER DETERMINATION
  A telephone number must be listed in a trusted directory. If this cannot be obtained, we will contact you regarding alternative options.
  
  
• FINAL PHONE CALL
  One of our representatives will call the identified phone number to verify the details of the certificate order with you.

In accordance with the new CA/Browser Forum regulations, all code signing certificates are provided on a hardware-based, FIPS-compliant token and mailed to the address provided when ordering.

To save on token and shipping costs, we recommend that you purchase multi-year certificates. This way, you only have to pay for a token and shipping fee once every 3 years.

The data of your expiring certificate can be automatically transferred to a new order. As a rule, validation is faster for certificates that have only been renewed.
