Who is not eligible to apply for an LEI number?

The following individuals and types of entities are not eligible to apply for an LEI number:

Individuals
Business units
Branch offices located in the same country as the head office already registered in the GLEIS.

If the parent company or the head office of the company has already registered an LEI number, then the branches should use this LEI number.
