You have the possibility to access the quarantine area of your domain either via IMAP or via the web interface. Please note that the use of quarantine is only optional and not mandatory. Alternatively, you can also use the periodic user reports to check blocked messages and release them if necessary. More information can be found in our FAQ article "How can I be informed about blocked incoming messages?".
E-mails that have been quarantined are rejected with a 5xx SMTP error at the SMTP level. The sender will be informed of the rejection with a notification. Messages that are only temporarily rejected at SMTP level are not included in the quarantine and will be re-delivered by correctly configured sender servers. Messages that end up in quarantine are generally held for 14 days.
From the Admin Panel, you can either delete messages detected as spam from quarantine, block the sender, or release and train the message. In order to access from the Admin Panel, go to "Incoming" > "Spam quarantine".
If a message has been unintentionally blocked, you can release and train it at this point, which will trigger the message to be sent to the original recipient. In addition, a report of the incorrect classification is sent to our system along with a copy of the message to train our filter and improve spam detection.
The quarantine system is supported by an IMAP backend. The backend can be reached via the administrator account, the domain (domain names) and the recipient's address. Customers can connect to the backend via the URL "quarantine. europeanmx. eu". Via IMAP you can also easily share certain messages in bulk. Further information can be found in our FAQ article "How do I have to configure my mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) to access the quarantine via IMAP?".
There are certain special folders in the IMAP account:
