Since the methods and technologies of spammers are constantly improved and modified, it can happen that a message is not recognized as spam. For this reason, we have integrated a Report Spam function for our filter system, which can be used to provide us messages in .eml or .msg format. We use this message in order to train our filter and further improve spam detection. Among other things, this gives us the opportunity to react as quickly as possible to new spam messages.
Only messages that are sent to us in their original form (with the original headers) can be trained. Messages that are forwarded or copied message content are not sufficient for the training system!
In the admin panel, you can report spam messages that have not been filtered to us under Incoming > Train messages. In order to do this, add the message via drag and drop (drag in with the mouse pointer) or via Browse and select the item Spam message(s) in the second step. Click on Next to upload the messages to our server.
The maximum file size per message is 5 MB. Please use one of the other options to report messages that exceed this limit.
Another way to report spam is to send us the message as an attachment to our address spamreport@europeanmx.eu. It is important to note that the corresponding message may only be forwarded as an attachment. Otherwise, the report cannot be processed by the server. Unfortunately, it is not possible to open a new message and add the spam message as an attachment by drag and drop, since in most cases the important header of the message is changed or damaged. Please mark the message for forwarding, right-click on it and select Forward as attachment.
Please note that training messages can take up to 24 hours before it has a visible effect on filter results!
