How can I export an email certificate (S/MIME) from Firefox?

Open your Firefox browser and click on the icon from the screenshot in the upper right corner and select "Options".

Select "Privacy & Security" from the left menu, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "View Certificates".

Make sure that you have selected the tab "Your certificates" in the certificate management, select the certificate you want to export and click on "Backup...".

Your certificate will be exported as a PKCS12 file. Please assign a file name and select the location where you want to save the certificate for later import into your e-mail program.

In the next window, please enter a password to protect the file from misuse. You will need the password later when importing the certificate into your e-mail program.

Click "OK" to complete the process.
