How can I activate outgoing user authentication if multiple domains send from the same IP?

For technical reasons, authenticating IP addresses can only be created once in EuropeanMX. If you now have multiple domains sending from one IP address, all messages will only be collected in the log of the main domain where the IP address was created as outgoing user. With the option "Re-authenticate as" (configure outgoing user) you can specify that the outgoing messages appear in the log search at the respective domain instead of collected at the main domain.

Settings for the main domain
  1. Log into the admin panel (FAQ article "How can I log in to the Admin-Panel (web interface of the filter)?") and click on "Outgoing" > "Manage users".
  2. Add the sending IP addresses/address ranges to EuropeanMX or access the existing user via the drop down menu and then "Edit".
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and change the option "Re-authenticate as" to "Sender domain".
  4. Click Save to apply the change.

Setting for all other domains added to EuropeanMX
  1. Log into the admin panel (FAQ article "How can I log in to the Admin-Panel (web interface of the filter)?") for the additional domain and click "Outgoing" > "Manage users".
  2. Add a user with your domain (Authenticating Domain tab) and a password (a password must be entered, but you won't need it later!).
  3. Go to the drop-down menu of the user you just added and select "Edit".
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and check the box for "Re-authentication permitted".
  5. Click "Save" to apply the changes.
