How can I find out if an LEI number has expired or is inactive?

In order to find out whether an LEI number is still active, you can use the GLEIF (Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation) search function. To do this, simply enter the LEI number in the search field and submit the search query. In the column "Reg. Status" you can then find the status of the requested LEI number.
