How can I set that only messages from the EuropeanMX cloud are accepted?

Unfortunately, it is possible for spammers to deliver messages directly to your mail server without being checked by our filter and thus cause spam. You should therefore configure your mail server so that only messages that have been checked by our filter are accepted.

To ensure that only messages from the EuropeanMX cloud are accepted by your mail server, it is best to use the host name delivery.antispamcloud.com for approval. This hostname contains all active IP addresses that EuropeanMX uses for the delivery of legitimate messages and can be used as a reverse DNS for the delivering IPs.

For redundancy reasons, we have split our EuropeanMX cloud across different data centers and networks. As we regularly maintain the EuropeanMX cloud, IPs may be added or removed from time to time. For this reason, it is advisable to carry out the release based on the host name. If this is not possible, you can alternatively use the IP addresses behind it for the release. You can find a complete list of all delivery IPs here.

Please also make sure that your firewall does not block DNS port 53 TCP (to avoid reaching the UDP packet size).

I cannot configure a hostname and IP addresses on my mail server.

If you are unable to enable sharing via a hostname then you can alternatively set your mail server to listen on an alternative server port, e.g. port 2525 instead of the default port 25. You can set the special port in your Eunetic account under the hostname of your destination server.

  1. To do this go to your Eunetic account and click on My Purchases > Email Filters.
  2. In the overview, please click on the yellow button (pencil) to access the filter management.
  3. Click on the yellow button (pencil) for the desired domain again and then on the button Change previous settings to adjust the settings for your domain.
  4. You can now enter the new port under Destination mail server.
  5. Select Save to apply the changed settings.
