Instructions for setting up EuropeanNS Anycast

Anycast is a network addressing and routing method that routes incoming traffic to different name servers in the nearest data center. This allows incoming requests to be processed efficiently, which increases performance and also reliability in the event of high traffic volumes. For this purpose, the name servers are distributed on different continents in order to be able to respond as quickly as possible to the request of a user or a device.

The following instructions describe the steps you need to take in order to use our anycast network.

If you would like to try EuropeanNS Anycast first, then please click on Free Trials in the first step after logging into your account and select EuropeanNS.

If you have already booked a trial or a paid plan, please continue with step 5.

Enter now the desired domain name in the field Zone domain (e.g. yourdomain.com) and click Proceed to checkout to continue the process.

Check your input and confirm that you have read our terms and conditions as well as the privacy statement. To complete the process, please click on Buy now.

If there is a misspelling in the domain name, please select Edit.

Then click on your email address at the top to enter the dashboard.

In the Your last orders list, select the latest order item EuropeanNS Anycast service "mydomain.com".

Enter now the desired DNS entries. The three NS entries

ns.europeandns.de
ns.europeandns.eu
ns.europeandns.net

please leave unchanged. You can add more lines by using the plus sign (+).

If you want to specify a SRV entry, please specify the priority in the field Priority. You can enter the port, the weighting and the destination in the field Destination, e.g. 1 5061 sipfed.online.lync.com (example see screenshot).

Click Save to synchronize the settings with the name servers.

The DNS zone is now prepared for your domain. In order for the settings in the zone to be linked to your domain, you must finally adjust the name servers of your domain. You have to set at least 2 of the following nameservers in the nameserver settings of your domain:

ns.europeandns.com
ns.europeandns.eu
ns.europeandns.net

As soon as our system detects that the nameservers have been adjusted. the message in the red box above the DNS zone will disappear.

How can I configure EuropeanNS for my domain?
