What happens if the archiving memory (quota) is exhausted?

A distinction is made here between hardware and soft quota:

When the soft quota is reached, the specified contact of the domain will receive an e-mail with the warning that the storage capacity will soon be used up.
When the hard quota is reached, older messages are permanently and irrevocably deleted from the archive in order to make room for new e-mails. .
