Navigate to the ACME account overview in your customer interface (Eunetic customer account required) and create your first ACME account. When doing so, you must already specify whether you want to obtain domain-validated (DV) or organization-validated (OV) certificates. You are also welcome to set up multiple ACME accounts directly; costs will only be incurred when domains are added.

Domain names are billed annually. Domain names can be added to an existing ACME account at any time and, of course, can also be removed again. The retrieval of certificates by your ACME client can only be carried out for domain names that you have previously activated for the account. This can be done either here in the shop and customer interface or individually and automatically via our REST API.

First, link your ACME client to the EuropeanSSL ACME account using the EAB credentials, which you can retrieve in our customer interface. This is usually done via your server's console using the "register" command.

After this registration, your ACME client can request certificates for domain names that you have previously activated for the ACME account. For OV certificates, an additional company validation is required, which you can also request in our customer interface (usually takes 2-3 business days). For the ACME client, it does not matter whether you obtain a DV or an OV certificate. The type of certificate issued depends on the type of activation of the domain name in your EuropeanSSL ACME account.

Depending on the ACME client, the renewal of the certificates takes place fully automatically every 2 months as long as your EuropeanSSL ACME account is active and the corresponding domain names are activated. After the initial setup, you do not need to do anything else.

With the first domain activation, your ACME account is automatically activated with a selectable term of 1, 2, or 3 years. For multi-year terms, we grant a discount of 5% or 10%. The costs for each domain activation are billed in advance according to the account term.

If you add more domains later during the active term, only the proportional remaining term will be charged for these. All domains activated in the ACME account therefore share a common billing cycle. You can freely decide whether the ACME account should be automatically renewed before the end of the term or not. With automatic renewal, ALL domain names still activated at that time will be billed again, for 1, 2, or 3 years. A refund for removed domain activations cannot be made, so please make sure to remove any domain names you no longer need from the account in good time.
