An SSL certificate is always bound to the hostname for which you purchased the certificate. Which IP address you use for the hostname is absolute irrelevant. You can therefore confidently transfer your domain or server to another provider and then simply take the certificate with you. The only important thing is that the hostname used remains the same. So if you have purchased an SSL certificate for subdomain.your-domain.com, then you should use the same subdomain for your website after moving to the new provider.
